FAQ:
- In tethered flight the balloon normally rises to a height of 20-25m.
- A balloon can make tethered flight in the morning, in the afternoon and at night, creating a very spectacular effect in this case, as it lights up like a giant flashing light bulb in the dark.
- In winter it can be flown at any time of day, given the absence of thermals. In summer and hot spring days it must be flown early in the morning, late in the afternoon and/or at night for safety reasons, to avoid the strongest winds.
- We will advise you 24-48 hours in advance if the weather forecast is favorable for the activity. If not, the activity can be postponed or cancelled free of charge if the flight team has not travelled to the area.
- The balloon offers an incomparable brand image.
- It can be decorated with gigantic banners (12m x 4m approx.) and/or bibs on the basket (1m x 1m), at very economical prices. In addition to being a mobile billboard of more than 1.000m2 in 360º, it is a valid instrument for PR activities, promotions, raffles, etc.
- It is totally ecological and takes people back to their childhood, remaining engraved in their memory.
Did you know that?
... The first tethered hot-air balloons had a military application. In 1793, the brand new ‘Compagnie d'aérostatiers’, the first military airborne unit in history, was created in France. The company consisted of one balloon and 26 officers who received instruction in physics, meteorology and mathematics. The tethered balloon was used as an observation platform and communicated with the ground by means of coloured flags and messages in ballast bags. Only a year later, in 1794, during the Battle of Fleurs, his tethered balloon located enemy positions and led to the French victory over the Austrians. This event gave a boost to the military use of aerostats and 20 more were built under names such as Céleste, Agile, Intrépide and Martial. This Company was disbanded by Napoleon in 1804.
